There are various ways and definitions to explain what architecture is. Among them, let’s talk mainly about ‘space’. Architecture is a process of making a space where people can live. In the same context, clothes we wear can be considered as a kind of space. The clothes are spatial structure tightly formed for human body.
Clothes are architecture and vice versa.
Clothes as space can be investigated from various viewpoints through the change of scale. If we enlarge the conception of clothes, clothes become a house. When we expand the scope more widely, clothes may become a hypermarket or a big city. This project starts from the change of the perspective on architecture through clothes and aims to convert original characteristics of clothes to architectural space.
